Recipe for Khajoor Ka Halwa
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Dates, washed and deseeded
- 1/2 cup Ghee
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 250 g Khoya
- 50 g Almonds, chopped
- 50 g Pistachioes, chopped
- 1/2 cup Semolina( sooji)
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 2 tsp Kewra essence
- ½ cup water
Cooking Directions
Remove the seeds of dates and put in a chopper to make a smooth paste. Put ghee or banaspati oil in a pan and add this paste into it.
Take another pan, put 3 tbsp. ghee and semolina, stir for a while and add it in the dates. Now add kewra essence, sugar and honey and mix it well.
Add water and keep stirring till it dries. Now add chopped almonds and pistackioes and khoya .
Cook it till the halwa leaves the sides of pan and garnish with khoya. Delicious and tasty khajoor dish is ready to eat.
TIP For good results always make halwa on low medium heat and stir it continously.
