Recipe for Khatta Qeema (Tangy Mince)

Ingredients

  • Mince 1/2 kg
  • Lemons (cut in slices) 3
  • Green chillies 6
  • Ginger (crushed) 1/2 inch
  • Garlic cloves (chopped) 5
  • Onion (choppes) 2-3
  • Tomatoes 3-4
  • Coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
  • Curry leaves 10
  • Chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  • Cumin seed 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander 1 tbsp
  • Dry pomegranate (crush coarsely) 2 tbsp
  • All spices powder 1 tsp
  • Salt 1/2 tsp or to taste
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Cooking Directions

Heat oil and put a pinch cumin seed put mince and let it cook till tender.

Meanwhile, grind coriander, cumin seed, raw pomegranate, ginger garlic paste, chilli flakes, salt ,turmeric, onion, tomato and curry leaves and then roast in a pan for 30 seconds.

Add the ground spices to the meat. Add lemon slices, coriander leaves, all spices powder cover with lid and let it steam for 8 minutes.
Serve.
