Recipe for Gobhi Ghosht
Ingredients
- 1/2 kilo beef with bones
- 1 head of cauliflower broken into florets
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 2 chopped garlic
- 1 chopped tomato
- 2 chopped onions
- 4 whole cardamoms
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 tablespoons ginger slices
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
- Oil or ghee to cook with
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
In a pot boil water, cloves, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon sticks, and meat for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
In a different pan fry the cauliflower until it gets a golden color.
After 45-60 minutes remove the meat from the water and keep it aside.
Fry the onions. When golden add tomato, garlic, ginger and the rest of the spices and stir.
Add the meat and keep stirring till meat catch a medium red color, then add the fried cauliflower. Cover and keep on low heat for 3 - 4 minutes.
