Recipe for Balti Gosht
Ingredients
- Beef or Mutton 1/2 kg
- Ginger/garlic paste 2 tsp
- Crushed pepper corns 1 tbsp
- Tomatoes 250 grams
- Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Hot spices powder 1 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Green chilies 6
- Coriander leaves 1 bunch
- Cream 2 tbsp
- Ginger 1 inch piece
- Oil 1 cup
Cooking Directions
Finely slice ginger and coriander leaves.
Thickly cut green chilies.
Heat oil in a pot and add ginger/garlic paste.
When it starts to give fragrance, add meat and on a low flame cook for 1/2 an hour.
When meat becomes tender add yogurt, tomatoes, whole coriander seeds and turmeric powder,fry well.
When oil appears on the surface add cream, crushed peppercorns, ginger, hot spices, coriander leaves and green chilies.
Turn off the flame, delicious Baalti Gosht is ready.
Serve with ‘naans’.
