Recipe for Qubuli
Ingredients
- Chana daal 200 gm boiled
- Rice boiled ½ kg with 2 tbsp salt
- Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
- Oil ½ cup
- Yogurt 1 ½ cup
- Chili powder 2 tsp
- Brown onion 1 cup
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp
- Salt 1 ½ tsp
- Chili powder 1 ½ tsp
- Cinnamon 2 inch piece
- Cloves 4
- Black cardamom 2
- Green chilies chopped 3
- Coriander leaves chopped 4 tbsp
- Black cumin ½ tsp
Cooking Directions
Boil daal until just tender, keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan add boiled daal, fry for 2-3 minutes.
Add ginger garlic paste, whole spices, salt, chili powder, yogurt whipped, fry for 15 minutes.
Add brown onion and chopped hara masala, boil rice with black cumin till ¾ done.
In another pan put half boiled rice, cook daal mixture, top with remaining rice, remaining brown onion, and keep it on dum for 15 minutes.
Mix and serve hot.
