Recipe for Indian Prawn Karahi
Ingredients
- Jumbo Prawns 1 kg
- Tomatoes 250 gm
- Onions 2
- Cloves 4
- Curry leaves 10
- Whole red chilies 10
- Oil ½ cup
- Coconut milk ½ cup
- Crushed red chili 1 tsp
- Fennel seed 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Cinnamon powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Cumin powder ½ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 ½ tsp
- Ingredients for Garnish :
- Green chilies as required
- Coriander leaves as required
Cooking Directions
Heat ½ cup oil in a pan and fry 1 kg jumbo prawns in it, remove and keep aside.
Now put 2 chopped onions with 1 tsp fennel seeds, 10 whole red chilies, ½ tsp cumin powder and 4 cloves.
Now add 1 ½ tsp ginger garlic paste, 250 gm chopped tomatoes, 10 curry leaves, 1 tsp crushed red pepper, 1 tsp cinnamon powder and 1 tsp salt. Fry well.
Add fried prawns and ½ cup coconut milk in this mixture, cook for 10 minutes, now for topping add coriander, green chilies, and 1 tsp all spice.
Then turn off the flame and serve hot.
