Recipe for Kongpao Prawns
Ingredients
- Prawns cleaned 250 gm
- Salt ½ tsp + ½ tsp
- White pepper ½ tsp + ½ tsp
- Egg white 1
- Corn flour 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
- Oil 2 tbsp + ¼ cup
- Chili sauce 1 tbsp
- Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
- Soya sauce 2 tbsp
- Ketchup 4 tbsp
- Stock 1 cup
- Onion 1 cut into thick slices
- Spring onion 2 cut in 1 inch pieces
- Red chili whole 12
- Capsicum 1 cut into 16 pieces
Cooking Directions
Marinate prawns with salt, pepper, egg white, corn flour and oil, deep fry prawns till light golden.
Heat oil in a wok add crushed garlic, fry for 2 minutes add onion, capsicum, whole red chillies, seasoning and stock.
Add fried prawns, thicken gravy with corn flour paste and remove.
