Recipe for Shell Tarka
Ingredients
- Kolson Shell Macaroni boiled 3 cups
- Red pepper (soaked and ground) 2
- Ketchup 4 tbsp
- Chili garlic sauce 3 tbsp
- Onion 1 cut into cubes
- Capsicum 1 cut into cubes
- Tomato 1 cut into cubes
- Carrot 1 cut in thin slices
- Salt 1 tsp leveled
- Crushed red pepper ½ tsp
- Ingredients for Tarka :
- Oil ¼ cup
- Garlic crushed 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves 20
- Mustard seeds ½ tsp
- White cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Onion seeds ½ tsp
Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a wok, add 1 tbsp crushed garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
Add 20 curry leaves, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp mustard seeds and 1/2 tsp onion seeds.
Fry for 2 minutes. Add 2 ground red chilies along with 4 tbsp ketchup, 3 tbsp chili garlic sauce, ½ tsp crushed red pepper salt to taste and all the chopped vegetables. Toss well.
Lastly fold in the boiled Kolson shell macaroni and mix.
The delicious shell is ready to serve.
