Recipe for Apple Halava
Ingredients
- 3 large apples, peeled
- ½ – ¾ cup sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp chopped cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp sliced almond
- 2 tbsp raisins
- ¼ cup ricotta cheese
- ½ cup milk powder
Cooking Directions
Peel the apple, then shred them. Cook shredded apples in a pan with butter over medium
heat for 10 minutes, or until water
evaporates. Add sugar and cheese, and cook for a few more minutes.
Add raisins, nuts, and milk and cardamom powder. Mix well and turn off heat.
Grease a 8” x 8” baking dish or a pie plate. Transfer halava to the tray. Cool for a few hours inthe fridge before serving.
