Recipe for Lamb Leg Roast
Ingredients
- 2 kilos leg of lamb
- 2 cups Yogurt
- 4 tsps Whole Black Peppercorns
- 6 tbsps clarified butter
- 3 tbsps Cumin Seeds
- 4 tsps Dried Chili Flakes
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger chopped
- 5 Garlic cloves chopped
- 3 Green Chilies
- 3 tbsps Lemon Juice
- 4 Cardamom
- to taste Salt
- 1 cup fresh Coriander
Cooking Directions
Clean lamb and cut deep slashes in it Blend clarified butter with all spices, lemon juice and salt,pour into deep slashes in lamb
Add salt in yogurt and spread it over lamb leg
Put lamb leg in the foil paper and cover with foil paper, and chill overnight
Preheat oven to 450F Roast lamb in oven Apply butter on it after every 15 minutes
When lamb leg is cooked, take it out into a platter
Serve hot
