Recipe for GREEN CHILI PICKLE
Ingredients
- 1/2 kilo Green chili
- 5 tbsps mango powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 3 tbsps mustard seeds soaked
- 1 tsp back cumin seeds
- 1 Onion (sliced)
- 1 cup Mustard Oil
- 4 tbsps Oil
- 8 tbsps lemon juice
Cooking Directions
Wash and pat dry chilies, make a slit length ways on each
Remove seeds
Stuff a pinch of mango powder in each chili
Drain mustard seeds, grind to a fine paste with onion and green chili
Add 130ml water and strain it. Keep the liquid aside
Heat oil. Saute’ chilies.Add strained mustard liquid, turmeric and salt
Cook for 5mins until chilies are tender
put it in a jar
Sprinkle lemon juice before serving
