Recipe for Fish Tikka Shashlik
Ingredients
- Fish fillet 1/2 kg
- Onions 2
- Tomatoes 2
- Capsicums 2
- Ginger/garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Yogurt 2 tbsp
- Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Cornflour 1 tbsp
- Cream 2 tbsp
- Orange food colour 1 pinch
- Chat masala 1/2 tsp
- Coriander leaves (chopped) for garnishing
- Oil 1/4 cup
Cooking Directions
Cut the fish in a squares. Cut capsicums, tomatoes and onions into squares, which should be the same size as the fish.
Put fish pieces, ginger/garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin seed powder, salt, yogurt, vinegar, cornflour, cream and food coloring in a bowl.
Mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes.
Put a fish piece on a shashlik stick followed by a piece each of tomato, capsicum, and lastly onion.
Repeat this process. Prepare the other sticks in the same manner.
Heat a little oil in a frying pan and fry the sticks in it or grill them for 10 minutes.
