Recipe for Matar Pulao
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Peas
- 500g Rice
- 3 tbsp Cooking oil
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 4 Clove
- 1 Star Anise
- 2 Cinnamon Stick
- 6-8 Black Pepper
- 1 Onion (sliced)
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 2 Green Chilies
- Salt to taste
- Water 2 cup
- ¼ cup Fresh Coriander
- ¼ cup Mint leaves
- 1 cup Coconut milk
Cooking Directions
In a cooking pot, add cooking oil and ghee and heat for a while.
Now add whole spices (Clove, Star Anise, Cinnamon Stick, Black Pepper) and cook for a while.
Now add onion slice and cook until get transparent.
After that, add ginger garlic paste and saute it.
Now add, peas and green chilies and cook for 2 minutes.
Now add water and salt mint leaves, coriander leaves and mix it well.
Now cover it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Now add soaked rice and when it starts bubbling and add coconut milk and stir well.
Now cover the lid and cook for 10-12 mins on a low flame.
Your tasty Matar pulao now ready to serve.
