Recipe for Double Decker Fish Burger
Ingredients
- Boneless fish 300g
- Garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp
- White pepper powder 1/2 tsp
- Corn flour 1 cup
- Eggs 1-2
- Bread crumbs 2 cups
- Chinese salt 1/3 tsp
- Oil for frying
- Salt as required
- For the garlic green sauce:
- Cream 1/2 cup
- Mayonnaise 1/2 cup
- Green chilies 3-4
- Boiled garlic cloves 10-15
- White pepper powder1tsp
- Chinese salt 1/2 tsp
- Salt as required
- For the burger:
- Bun 4
- Square cheese slices 4-5
- Oil for frying
- Salt as required
Cooking Directions
For fish patties:
In a food processor pulse together 300f fish, 1tbsp garlic paste, 1/2tsp crushed black pepper, 1/2tsp white pepper, 1/3tsp Chinese salt and salt as required.
Form patties from the mixture.
Heat oil in a pan. Dredge the fish patties in 1 cup corn flour, dip in 1-2 beaten eggs and finally in 2 cups breadcrumbs.
Deep fry until golden brown.
To make the sauce:
Combine together ½ cup cream, ½ cup mayonnaise, 3-4 green chilies, 10-15 cloves of garlic, 1 tsp white pepper, 1/2 tsp Chinese salt and salt as required.
For assembling:
Slice the buns into two halves .Place a lettuce leaf on the base two bun halves followed by a cheese slice.
Spread a thin layer of dressing , add the patties and top with the other bun half.
