Recipe for Sindhi Machi Fry
Ingredients
- Fish 1 kg
- Coriander leaves ½ bunch
- Mint leaves ½ bunch
- Green chilies 4
- Garlic 8 cloves
- Onion 1
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Coriander seeds 2 tsp
- Tamarind pulp ½ cup
- Oil 1 cup
Cooking Directions
Marinate fish with salt for 10 – 15 minutes.
Then wash the fish and keep aside.
Heat 1 cup oil in a frying pan, shallow fry the fish until golden brown.
Then remove from pan and keep aside.
Blend together ½ bunch of coriander leaves, ½ bunch of mint leaves, 4 green chilies, 8 cloves of garlic, 1 onion, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp salt, 2 tsp coriander seeds and ½ cup tamarind pulp.
Now heat 4 tsp oil in a wok, add in blended paste and fry well till oil comes on top.
Lastly add in fried fish and mix gently. Dish it out and serve hot.
