Recipe for Amchoor Gosht
Ingredients
- 1 cup mango powder 1 cup
- 750 grams mutton
- ½ cup oil
- 4 onions
- 15 almonds
- 2 tbsp melon seeds
- Salt as required
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 5 green chilies
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup yogurt
- 15 raisins
- 1 tsp all spice powder
- 1 pinch saffron
Cooking Directions
In a grinder grind together 15 almonds and 2tbsp melon seeds along with some water.
Heat ½ cup oil in a wok and fry 4 chopped onions until golden.
Add 750g meat, salt as required, 1tbsp ginger paste, 1tbsp garlic paste and fry for a minute
Add 1/4tsp turmeric, 2tsp red chili powder, 5 green chilies and 1 cup water. Cover and reduce the flame to a simmer. Cook for 20-25 minutes.
Add the ground almond mixture and 1 cup dried mango powder. Mix well
Add ½ cup yoghurt, 15 raisins, 1tso all spice powder, 1 pinch saffron.
Cook until the meat is tender. The delicious amchoor gosht is ready to serve.
