Recipe for Bihari Qeema (Behari Mince)
Ingredients
- Mince ½ kg
- Yogurt ¾ cup
- Raw papaya 1 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Brown onion ground 2 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Nutmeg ground ¼ tsp
- Mace ground ¼ tsp
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp
- Coconut 1 tbsp
- Whole red chilli 15
- Cloves 4
- Green cardamom 4
- Cinnamon 2 sticks
- Oil ½ cup
- Green chilies 4 (chopped)
- Coriander leaves 4 tbsp(chopped)
Cooking Directions
In a frying pan roast; poppy seeds, coconut, whole red chilies, cloves,green cardamom and cinnamon sticks.
Then grind it finely.
After washing the mince add raw papaya, ginger garlic paste and keep aside for 1 hour.
In a pan heat oil, add the roasted and ground spices with ¼ cup water, fry well, add marinated mince and fry well.
Now add yogurt and fry again.
Cook on a low flame and cover till the water dries.
Add brown onion and mix well,Turn the flame off.
Put a hot coal on a foil, lower it into the pan then put a few drops of oil and cover.
Sprinkle with all spice powder, coriander and chopped green chillies.
Serve hot with paratha.
