Recipe for Memoni Akni

Ingredients

  • 1/2 kilogram beef
  • 1 kilogram rice, soak it for half an hour
  • 1/2 kilogram potatoes, cut into pieces
  • 1 onion, finely cut
  • 4 tomatoes, finely sliced
  • 4 tablespoon salt
  • 4 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 6 green chilies
  • 1.5 – 2 cup oil
  • 5 green cardamom
  • 2 black cardamom
  • 4 clove
  • Small piece of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black cumin seeds
  • 1 flower of star anise (badiyan)
  • 1 piece of bay leaf
  • 10 whole black pepper

Cooking Directions

First of all boil meat by adding 1/2 tablespoon salt, ginger garlic paste, green chilies, and 2 tablespoon oil and turmeric powder.

Now when meat gets boiled, heat oil and fry onion till it gets light brown and then add potatoes, tomatoes and all the remaining spices.

When tomatoes get completed cooked or mixed and the mixture starts leaving oil.

Now add 5 glass of water in it. When the water gets boiled, add the rice in it and take care of it as we do in making Palau.

In this way an outstanding memoni akni is ready to eat but for taste enhancement serve it with yoghurt.

Add little salt and black pepper powder in it.
