Recipe for Aloo Pakora

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1/2 litre peanut oil
  • 400 g chickpea flour
  • 1 spoon cumin seeds
  • 1 small spoon chili powder
  • a pinch of salt

Cooking Directions

Peel the potatoes, wash and cut them into slices.

Soak them in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain and dry them.

Mix the chickpea flour with water (7-8 dl) in a bowl.

Add salt, chili powder and the cumin seeds to taste.

Put on high heat a pan with oil. When it start heating low the temperature and keep it constant.

Dip some slices at a time in he pan filled with oil and fry until they come on the surface.

When they become golden take them off and drain the oil.

Continue the process until you finish and serve them hot.
