Recipe for Palak Paneer
Ingredients
- 500 Gms of fresh spinach leaves
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- Cumin seeds-1/2 tbsp.
- Red chili powder- 1tbsp.
- Salt to taste
- Garam masala powder-1/2 tbsp.
- Coriander powder-1 tbsp.
- Garlic-2-3 cloves-finely grated
- Oil- 3 tbsp.
- Verka Paneer- 1 cup- chopped in cubicle size
- Water to boil the palak
Cooking Directions
In a large pan, add water and once it starts boiling, add the chopped palak
Let it boil till the color changes, once cooled- blend it in a blender
Take a pan, add oil and cumin seeds- let them start popping
Once that happens, add garlic and onions to it.
Add little salt and let it fry till golden brown.
Once that’s done, add the blended puree of spinach to it
Add red chili powder, garam masala powder and coriander powder
Let this mixture simmer for some more time, till you see oil leaving from sidesGarnish with lemon and serve with plain rice or roti.
