Recipe for Sattu sweet bars
Ingredients
- Sattu(roasted black chickpea flour)-200g
- Castor sugar-150g
- Clarified butter(ghee)-200g
- Chopped almonds-a handful
- Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Cooking Directions
Heat a large pan and add sattu flour in it .Start roasting it on low flame with frequent stirring.Add clarified butter(ghee) and stir continuously .
When flour is mixed with ghee and roasted completely add sugar powder and cardamom powder.Mix well.
Take a pre greased flat plate or tray and transfer flour mixture on it.Press it from all sides and spread evenly.Make cut with knife in any shape(diamond or square).
Let it cool and keep in fridge for 20 minutes for setting.
Take out from fridge and cut gently into pieces.Store in airtight container and can be used for 15 days.
