Recipe for Mogul Style Beef
Ingredients
- Beef undercut 1 kg
- Oil 1/4 cup
- Onions (sliced) 3 medium
- All spice (grounded) 2 tsp
- Saffron (crushed) 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Ginger (grounded) 1 tsp
- Chili (grounded) 1 tsp
- Milk 1/3 cup
- Honey 1 tsp
- Chicken stock cube (crumbled) 1/2 Small
- Water 2/3 cup
- Cream 2/3 cup
- Almonds (Ground) 2 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Cut beef into 1, 1/2 cm strips. Heat oil in a large pan and add onions.
Stir over medium heat for about 3 minutes or until onions are soft.
Stir in all spice, saffron, turmeric, ginger and chillies.
Cook further for a minute.
Add in steak, stir over high heat until steak is well browned all over.
Stir in milk, honey and combined stock cube and water.
Bring to boil, reduce heat, simmer covered, for about 30 minutes or until steak is tender.
Stir occasionally during cooking. Stir in cream and almonds.
Cook over medium heat until mixture is heated through.
Serve hot.
