• Eggs – 4
• Soft butter – 200g
• Ground sugar – 1 cup
• Vanilla essence – 1 ½ tsp
• Baking powder – 1 ½ tsp
• Milk – 4 tbsp
• Salt – 1 pinch
• Yellow food colour – 1 pinch or few drops

Take a bowl, add butter and sugar and beat with electric beater, until smooth cream.

Then add eggs 1 by 1 along with vanilla essence and milk, beat until sugar and eggs are beaten well. In another bowl, mix flour,baking powder and salt.

Add this flour mixture in egg mixture and beat. Add yellow colour and mix well.

Now put this mixture in 2 loaf cake pans and bake in preheated oven on 350ºF, 180ºC and gas mark 4 for 35 to 40 minutes.

If you like to make dry fruit cake, then follow the same recipe, just add dry fruits at the end before pouring in pans.
