Recipe for Almond Fruit Tart
Ingredients
- 1.2 cup softened butter
- ½ cup plus 2 tablespoon sugar, divided
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoon vanilla extract, divided
- ½ tablespoon almond extract
- 1 ½ cup flour
- ¾ cup blue diamond sliced natural almonds, toasted and divided.
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 2 tablespoon liqueur or ½ tablespoon almond extract
- Fresh fruit to cover tart
- ¼ cup apricot jam
- 1 tablespoon water
Cooking Directions
Take cream butter and half cup sugar. Beat it with egg yolk, 1 tablespoon vanilla and almond extracts.
To make dough, mix above paste in flour and ½ cup almonds.
Press it into 11 inch tart pan, prick shell. Bake it for 10 minute on 375 degree until it gets golden brown. Now you can serve it cold.
Beat cream cheese with 2 tablespoon sugar until it gets smooth. Again beat it in amaretto and remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Spread it in tart shell. Chill until firm. Put fruit filling on the top of it. Whisk jam and water over medium heat until melted, boil for 30 seconds.
Cool it slightly, brush fruit with glaze, sprinkle remaining almonds over fruit.
