Recipe for CARROT PICKLE
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 kilo Carrot
- 1 tbsp Fennel powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 5 tbsps Mustard oil
- 1/2 tbsp Mustard seeds grounded
- to taste Salt
Cooking Directions
Peel and wash carrots Cut them in 1 inch pieces and divide pieces lengthwise.
Mix salt, red chilli powder, fennel powder and ground
Mustard seeds. Mix spices with carrot pieces.
In a pan, heat mustard oil to smoking point Turn off heat.
Let it cool for a minute and add turmeric powder.
Pour oil over carrots and mix well.
Put them in an airtight jar and keep aside for few days. Serve
