Recipe for Cholay - Chana Salan
Ingredients
- White chick peas 250 gm
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Oil 2 tsp
- Green chillies chopped 1 tsp
- Soda 1/4 tsp
- Nigella seeds 1 pinch
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
Soak the chickpeas overnight with a pinch of soda.
In the morning, put chickpeas in a pan with fresh water and boil them on low heat.
When they become half tender, add the rest of the ingredients and boil again till done.
Serve hot with naan.
