Recipe for Mix Daal (Mix Lentils)
Ingredients
- Bengal gram (dal channa) 1 cup
- Split green gram (dal moong) 1/3 cup
- White lentils 1/3 cup
- Red lentils 1/3 cup
- Salt to taste
- Whole red chili 3-4
- Turmeric 1/3 tsp
- Crushed red chili 1 tbsp
- Oil 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- Onion sliced 1
Cooking Directions
Combine all lentils and boil in water.
When it comes to boil, add salt, whole red chili, turmeric and crushed red chili.
Cover with the lid and braise till lentils are tender. (Add more water if required)
Heat oil in a frying pan fry cumin seeds and onion in it till golden brown.
Pour this oil with cumin seeds and onion on lentils.
Tasty mix lentils are ready. Serve hot with rice or chapatti.
