Recipe for Green Masala Gosht
Ingredients
- 500 gm Mutton Pieces
- 6 Green Chillies, Sliced
- 4 Black Peppercorns
- 1 Stick Cinnamon
- 4 Cloves
- 2 Green Cardamoms
- 1 Black Cardamom
- 1 Tsp Ginger / Garlic
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 2 – 3 Cups Water
- 1/4 Cup Oil
- 3 Onions Chopped
- 1 Tbsp Green Chillies Ground
- 1 Tsp Coriander Leaves Ground
- 1/2 Tsp Ginger – Garlic paste
- 1 Tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 Cup Yoghurt Whipped
Cooking Directions
Boil the mutton with all the ingredients .
Cook till the meat is tender and the water dries off. In another pan heat the oil and fry the onions until they are a light golden colour.
Remove the onions with a slotted spoon and crush them.
Return them to the same oil along with all the ingredients .
Stir and cook for 2 – 3 minutes till the oil separates.
Add the meat and mix it well with the ingredients in the 2nd pan.
Add 1 cup of water to make a gravy. Simmer over a low heat for 5 – 10 minutes till the oil floats on top.
Green Masala Gosht is ready to serve. Serve hot with roti or boiled rice.
