Recipe for Kachnar Gosht
Ingredients
- 500 gm mutton, boiled
- 500 gm kachnar
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp hot spices powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 green chilies, thinly sliced
Cooking Directions
Wash kachnar properly. Boil for 2 minutes then drain.
Heat oil in a deep pan.
Add onions and fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and cook for 30 seconds.
Now put boiled mutton, tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder,coriander powder, hot spices powder and salt.
Cover with the lid and simmer for 20 minutes on low flame.
When tomatoes are soft, stir it well.
Add boiled kachnar and stir fry for 2 minutes.
Then add yogurt and simmer for 10 minutes.
Take it out in a serving bowl. Garnished with green chilies.
