Recipe for Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup oil
- 5 eggs
- 2 tablespoon vanilla
- Pineapple for the bottom of the baking pan.
Cooking Directions
Make the caramel and pour it in your baking pan.
When the caramel is cool, place the pineapple pieces
Beat the eggs with the vanilla until it foams and become light in color.
Add the sugar and oil and keep on beating for at least 2-3 minutes.
Mix baking powder with the flour and salt and add slowly to the above mixture. **
Pour the mixture in the baking pan and put it in the oven until the cake is done.
This cake tastes great with vanilla ice-cream on the side.
Don''t beat the batter on high speed when adding the flour, this is the reason for the cake to fail most of times. It''s even better to use a wooden spoon to mix with when adding the flour.
