Recipe for Chocolate Coconut Cake
Ingredients
- Biscuit Sponge Dough:
- Egg whites beat until stiff, set aside. 6
- Soft butter 150 g
- Sugar beat until creamy 200 g
- Egg yolks add & mix 4 tablespoons milk add & mix until texture is smooth 6
- Flour 200 g
- Baking powder mix and fold into mixture 2 teaspoons
- Separate dough into two equal portions:
- Portion 1 - Chocolate Dough
- Chocolate powder 100 g
- Milk 4 tablespoons
- Coconut powder mix together 5 tablespoons
- Egg beaten whites fold into the chocolate dough 1/2
- Portion 2 - Coconut Dough
- Coconut powder add and mix well 5 tablespoons
- Egg whites fold into dough 1/2
- Milk add and mix well. 4 tablespoons
- Chocolate Icing:
- Cooking chocolate 100 g
- Cream slowly heat tip and mix well. 100 ml
- Spread over cake and sides.
- Sprinkle the top with coconut powder.
Cooking Directions
Line a square cake tin, measuring 22x22 cm, or a spring form of about 23 cm in diameter, with aluminum foil, grease the foil and sprinkle with flour. Keep ready. Preheat the oven.
First spoon the chocolate dough into the cake tin, then spread the coconut dough over the chocolate dough.
Bake for 60 minutes in medium hot oven or until fully cooked. Test with skewer.
