Recipe for Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 tablespoons butter - can replace
- with oil1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon orange zest (optional)
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 4 tablespoons yogurt
- 2 cups flour
- 5 tablespoons chocolate powder
- Pinch of salt
- Ingredients- sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 teaspoons water
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 to 2 tablespoons chocolate powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon coffee (optional)
Cooking Directions
Beat the eggs for 3 minutes. Add sugar and beat it some more until it looks like cream.
Add vanilla, butter, oil, yogurt, and water to the previous mixture and keep beating.
Mix the flour with baking powder, pinch of salt and chocolate powder. Add them slowly to the eggs mixture. Don''t over beat.
Pour the cake mixture in your baking pan. Put it in a preheated oven for 30 - 45 minutes.
When the cake is done, keep aside to cool.
Method- chocolate sauce:
Mix all ingredients together.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour then pour over the cake.
You can sprinkle shredded chocolate on top of the sauce, after pouring it over the cake.
