Recipe for bharwan mirch
Ingredients
- 250 gms mirch (peppers)
- 3 aloo (potatoes) - boiled, peeled and mashed
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp amchoor (dry mango powder)
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp saunf (fennel) powder
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp oil
Cooking Directions
Wash mirch and wipe dry. Slit lengthwise from one side not separating from the base. Remove seeds of mirch.
Mix salt and all the spices except turmeric powder to mashed potato.
Stuff potato mixture in mirch.
Heat oil in a flat pan and add turmeric powder. Spread it with a spatula in the whole oil. Place peppers in the pan and turn the heat to low. Cover the pan with a lid.
Turn over the mirch once the underside is cooked. Cook from both sides, and then turn off the heat. Serve bharwa mirch hot with roti or paratha.
