Recipe for Afghani kebab
Ingredients
- 1 kg of Minced Beef ( Qeema)
- Green Chillies (finely chopped) 10 pieces
- Onions (chopped) medium 2 pieces
- Tomatoes 1 kg
- of Black Pepper (Pisi Kaali Mirch) (coursely ground) ½ tsp.
- Salt (as per taste)
- Fresh Coriander/Cilantro Leaves (Hara Dhania) (chopped – for garnish)
- ½ bunch
- Cooking Oil One cup
Cooking Directions
Boil Tomatoes in water and when they are soft and tender smash them into a tomato paste.
put in a large bowl & mixed minced beef, green chillies, black pepper and onion. Mix with hands. Separate entire mixture into four even portions. dip each portion with a little oil.
Warm a frying pan on stove on medium heat until hot. Take one portion of meat and flatten it with hands and place on frying pan. Cook until well cooked on one side. Flip over and cook other side until it cook well . Remove flat kabab and place on a plat. Repeat this process for other 3 Portions.
Cut each flat kabab into long strips.
Warm a little oil in a karhai and leave until it hot. Slightly fry kabab strips. add tomato paste, salt, a few green chillies, and black pepper and mix. Cook on low heat covered for about 10 minutes or until the oil separates.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
