Recipe for Mutton Tikka Biryani
Ingredients
- Ingredients for mutton tikka:
- 1 kg Mutton
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup Lemon juice
- 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 2 tbsp Papaya paste
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp Carom seeds
- 1 tbsp Chili flakes
- 1 tbsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Yellow food color
- Ingredients for rice:
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- Salt to taste
- 800g Rice (boiled)
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 2 cup Tomato puree
- 2-3 Green chilies (chopped)
- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tbsp Cumin powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Red chili powder
- 1 tsp Chili flakes
- 1 tsp Yellow food color
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- Ingredients for garnish:
- 2 Tomato cubes
- 2 tbsp Ginger julienne
- 2 tbsp Coriander (chopped)
- 2 tbsp Mint (chopped)
- 2 Lemon slices
- 2 tbsp Onion fried
- 3 Green chilies (chopped)
Cooking Directions
In a bowl mix oil, yogurt, ginger garlic paste, papaya paste, salt, carom seeds, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, red chili powder, chili flakes and food color.
Marinate mutton in it for 4 hours or overnight.
Take skewers and thread mutton pieces on it.
Cook on charcoal until fully tender.
Directions for rice:
In a pan heat oil, add ginger garlic paste, cumin seeds, green chilies and cook until light brown.
Add cooked mutton tikka and mix it well.
Then add salt, red chili powder, chili flakes, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, yogurt and cook for 7 minutes.
Add tomato puree, mix it well, cover and cook for 7 to 8 minutes.
Add a little bit of garnish in end.
In a pan layer rice, mutton, sprinkle garnish, and repeat it again.
In last drizzle food color on top, add half cup of water and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
Your tikka biryani is ready to serve.
