Recipe for Daal Gosht
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Mutton
- 4 cup water
- 1 cup Onion
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Khara masala
- 1 cup Tomato
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp red Chili powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 1 & cup Split Chickpeas (Boiled)
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp Fenugreek Leaves
- For Tarka:
- 4-5 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 3 Whole red chilies
- 5-6 Kari Leaves
Cooking Directions
In a pan add mutton. Water, turmeric, onion, ginger garlic paste, whole spices and mix well.
Cover the lid and cook for 20-25 minutes on medium low flame or until the mutton gets tender.
Remove the stock and keep it aside.
Now add tomato, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, oil, salt and mix well. Cook for 5-6 minutes.
Now add split chickpeas, mix well. Add stock and then let it cook for 12-15 minutes on medium low flame. (add water if required)
Now add garam masala, fenugreek leaves, mix it well.
For Tarka:
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, whole red chili, Kari leaves and cook for few seconds.
