Recipe for Jam Squares
Ingredients
- 250 gr butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Flour as required
- FOR DECORATION:
- 1 and a half cup smooth apricot jam
- 2 Tablespoon dessicated coconut
Cooking Directions
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and baking powder.
Add enough flour to make soft dough.
Press flat into a swiss roll tin. Bake @ 180 degrees Celsius, for 20 - 25 minutes,or until pale brown on top.
Remove from oven and smear top with apricot jam.
Sprinkle with desiccated coconut and cut into small squares.
