Recipe for Rice with Jaggery
Ingredients
- Rice 1 cup
- Jaggery 1 cup
- Water 1 ½ cup
- Fennel seeds 1 tsp
- Green cardamoms 2
- Raisins 50 grams
- Coconut ¼ cup grated
- Pistachios 2 tsp
- Oil ¼ cup
Cooking Directions
Par-boil rice with fennel seeds and green cardamoms.
In a separate pot cook jaggery, water and oil till it becomes a thick syrup.
Add rice in the syrup, mix and keep on dum.
After 10 to 12 minutes remove from flame.
Serve delicious rice with jaggery garnished with raisins, coconut and pistachios.
