Recipe for Jambalaiya Paki Style
Ingredients
- Beef or any red meat cut in 1 inch cubes 1/2 cup
- Chicken boneless cut into cubes 1/2cup
- Shrimp deveined and cleaned 1/2 cup
- If desired hotdog pieces 1/2 cup
- Zuchini cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- Cellery if desired cut into 1/2 pieces
- Red kidney beans (from can) 2 table spoons
- Whole kernal corn 2 table spoons
- Rice 1 cup(boiled)
- Magie cubes 4
- Onion 1 medium chopped
- Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli to taste
- Haldi a pinch
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp
- Curry patta 1-2
- Hot sauce from bottle 1/2 tsp
Cooking Directions
Fry onions and cook red meat as desired, I add desi flavors for our desi guests. i.e. red chilli, cumin, haldi and so on.
Add garlic paste and ginger, salt, curry patta and black pepper.
After red meat is cooked add the chicken and cook for 10 miutes then add the zuchinni and cellery and shrimp.
Cook until all tender and ready for the rice. Add the red kidney beans and corn.
Cook rice like for biryani with Magie cubes and salt and cardaman seeds.
Layer it and cover.
Serve hot with corriender leaves garnished on top and a sparkle of hot sauce.
