Recipe for Rangeen Beef Biryani

Ingredients

  • Rice ½ kg
  • Beef mince ½ kg
  • Onion 3
  • Tomato 4 to 5
  • Green chilies 8 to 10
  • Chopped green coriander ½ bunch
  • Black cumin 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Mustard seed 1 tsp
  • All spice powder 1 tbsp
  • Crushed red chili 2 tbsp
  • Whole black pepper 1 tsp
  • Bay leaves 4 to 5
  • Small cardamom 4 to 5
  • Cinnamon 2 sticks
  • Cloves 4 to 5
  • Tamarind paste 1 cup
  • Red color 1 pinch
  • Green color 1 pinch
  • Clarified butter 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

Soak ½ kg rice in water.

Then boil it with 4 to 5 bay leaves, 1 tsp black cumin and salt to taste and strain it.

In a pan heat 1 cup clarified butter and fry 3 onions till it turn golden brown and put it on a side.

Then in same pan add 1 cinnamon sticks, 4 to 5 cloves, 4 to 5 small cardamoms, 1 tsp whole black pepper and 1 tsp mustard seed to crackle.

Then add 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste and ½ kg mince to saute and cook till oil separates.

Now add as required water with 4 to 5 tomatoes and 8 to 10 whole green chilies to cook till it gets tender and mince get dries.

Then add boiled rice with half tamarind paste and half browned onions.

Then add remaining rice, mince, tamarind paste, brown onion and ½ bunch green coriander with 1 pinch red color and 1 pinch green color separately dissolve in water and put on simmer.

Dish it out and serve.
