Recipe for Prawn Tomato Curry
Ingredients
- Prawns 300 gm
- Tomatoes 2
- Onion 1
- Green chilies chopped 2 – 3
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Garlic chopped 2 cloves
- Fresh cream ½ cup
- Corn flour1 tbsp
- Crushed red pepper 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 2 – 3 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Wash and clean 300 gm prawns, mark a cut in centre of each prawn and open it into book form.
Heat 2 – 3 tbsp oil in a wok, add in prawns and shallow fry for a few minutes. Remove fried prawns and keep aside.
Then add 2 cloves of chopped garlic to the wok, saute till golden brown.
Add 1 chopped onion, 2 chopped tomatoes and 2 – 3 chopped green chilies. Fry well for 1 – 2 minutes.
Now add 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp crushed red pepper, ½ cup fresh cream and salt to taste. Mix well.
Dissolve 1 tbsp flour in a little water, add it to the sauce mixture.
Cook till sauce thickens.
Lastly add fried prawns and toss very well.
Dish it out and serve with boiled rice.
