Recipe for Classic Italian Pesto
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup pine nuts (chilgoza) or walnuts (akhrot), chopped
- 2 cups fresh basil leaves , loosely packed
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
Lightly roast the pine nuts. Cool completely.
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend into a smooth paste.
Use as required.
