Recipe for Chocolate Glazed Cake
Ingredients
- Ingredients for sponge cake :
- Eggs 4
- Flour 4 ounce
- Caster sugar 4 ounce
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Vanilla essence 1 tsp
- Chocolate 8 ounces
- Ingredients for butter icing:
- Butter 8 ounce (unsalted)
- Icing sugar 6 ounces
- Vanilla essence ¼ tsp
- Pink color few drops
- Sugar syrup to moist cake
Cooking Directions
Beat eggs, gradually add in sugar until light and fluffy, add essence, sieve together flour and baking powder.
Carefully fold in the sieved flour, pour in a greased 8 inch round tin, bake on 180 degree C for 25 minutes, remove and cool.
Make a 4 egg sponge like above cool cake, cut cake horizontally into 3 layers.
To each layer brush generously with tinned fruit syrup, then fresh cream, then fruit, second layer of cake, again moist with sugar syrup.
Then raspberry jelly, fresh cream, fruit, finally the top layer of cake is also soaked with sugar syrup, covered with fresh cream, thick layer and decorate with chocolate decorations.
Take a chocolate glazed icing in a fine nozzle make circular pattern starting from the centre using a toothpick.
Make line on it, starting from the edge of the cake and ending in the centre.
Lastly pipe butter cream, flowers on the edge of the cake.
