Recipe for Lemon Cake
Ingredients
- Flour 250 gm
- Sugar 250 gm
- Egg 4
- White butter 100 gm
- Baking powder 1 tbsp
- Vanilla essence few drops
- Butter paper as required
- Lemon skin 1 tsp
- Ingredients for Topping :
- Milk ½ liter
- Custard powder 4 – 5 tbsp
- Sugar 125 gm
- Lemon skin 1 tsp
Cooking Directions
In a bowl beat together 4 eggs and 250 gm sugar.
Then add 100 gm butter, 1 tbsp baking powder and 250 gm flour.
Fold very well. Now add 1 tsp lemon skin and few drops of vanilla essence.
Now pour mixture in a greased lined cake mold.
Bake in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for 40 – 45 minutes.
Then remove from oven, cool completely.
Heat ½ liter milk in a pan, add 125 gm sugar and 4 – 5 tbsp custard powder. Cook till custard thickens.
Pour on cake in mold.
Sprinkle 1 tsp lemon skin on top. Freeze till firm.
Then remove from refrigerator, serve chilled.
