Recipe for Chicken Tikka Pulao
Ingredients
- Chicken 1 kg (4-8 pcs)
- Chili powder 3 tbsp
- Cumin Seeds 2 tbsp (Roasted n crushed)
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Lemon juice 4 tbsp
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Orange food color a pinch
- Chaat masala 1 tsp
- Oil ¼ cup
- For Pulao:
- Rice ½ kg (pre soak for 20 minutes)
- Oil ½ cup
- Onion 2 sliced
- Black cumin ½ tsp
- Green chilies 1 tbsp
- Mixed whole spice 1 tbsp
- Bay leaf 1
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
- Stock cube 1
- Salt 1 tsp
Cooking Directions
Marinate the chicken with all the chicken ingredients. And leave it to marinate for 2 hours.
After 2 hours. Cook the chicken in a covered pan until it is cooked through.
In the end, place a small lump of coal atop aluminium foil within the pan.
And let the coal’s aroma seep into the chicken and its spices.
In a Separate Pot, heat oil, add the onion and fry it till its light golden brown, add all the ingredients for the pulao, and cook till the rice is ready.
Add the chicken on top and leave it covered on low heat for 10 – 15 minutes.
Mix the rice and chicken and serve with raita.
