Recipe for Bohra Mutton Curry
Ingredients
- Mutton 1 kg (boneless)
- Stock 1 cup
- Coriander 4 tbsp (whole)
- Green chili 8 – 10
- Coconut 2 tbsp
- chick pea powder ½ cup
- Tamarind paste ½ cup
- Potato 3
- Onion 3 (sliced)
- Turmeric ½ tsp (powder)
- Red chili 3 (whole)
- Green coriander ½ bunch
- Mint ½ bunch
- Clove 5
- Cinnamon stick 3
- Almond 10
- Peanuts 1 tbsp (roasted)
- Sesame 2 tbsp
- Curry leaves (2 stems)
- Oil 1 cup
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
First heat pan and roast whole red chili, peanuts, chick pea powder, almond and sesame seeds.
Now grind the roasted spices almond with onion, garlic, coconut, coriander, cumin and red chili with stock.
Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves, cinnamon stick and cloves, fry for a minute.
Now add meat, turmeric,roasted and the ground paste and saute for 3 – 4 minutes.
Cook till meat tender, then put potato, tamarind paste, coconut and salt.
When curry is prepared garnish it with coriander and mint and dish it out.
