Recipe for Honey Cinnamon Roasted Chickpeas
Ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce can) chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans)
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon granulated (aka white) sugar
- 1 tablespoon honey
Cooking Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Drain the chickpeas and rinse them under cold water.
Place the chickpeas on a towel to dry. In a small bowl, whisk together the oil, cinnamon, and sugar.
Place the chickpeas in bowl and stir until all of the chickpeas are evenly coated.
Spread out the chickpeas on a large baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the chickpeas are golden brown.
Place the hot, roasted chickpeas in a small bowl and coat evenly with honey. Spread the chickpeas back out on a baking sheet and allow to dry.
