Recipe for Locha Poori
Ingredients
- 2 cups wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp. of oil in dough and enough amount for frying
- Red chili powder- 1 and ½ tbsp.
- Turmeric- ½ tbsp.
- Water- 1 cup or less
Cooking Directions
Take the four Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric and oil to it Mix well, till the oil evenly spreads around all flour
Then add water little by little and make dough. It should not be hard nor too soft.
Set aside for some time- around 15-20 minutes before actual frying
Then make small pieces of dough in ball shapes of approximately 1 inch round Then start rolling these into round shape.
On other side, take a deep pan and put oil.Lit the stove and let the temperature rise for more time
On medium flame, start putting one by one pooris in oil on medium flame.
Flip around once golden brown. Like this cook all other pooris Serve hot or cold with pickle, tea or bhaji. The way you like!
