Recipe for Tarbooj Sharbat
Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh Watermelon Juice (Tarbooj Ka Raas)
- 4 cups fresh strawberries
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 inch ginger finely chopped
- 4 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp black salt
Cooking Directions
Wash and stem the strawberries in cold water. Force through a food mill to separate seeds from the puree or take out the seeds with your hands.
Cover a big empty bowl, with a nylon sieve by using a pestle or outstretched fingers.
Press to extract the fruit puree and discard the seeds.
Combine all the ingredients in a shaker and stir well.
Refrigerate the sharbat for few hours.Stir and serve in glasses with crushed ice.
