Recipe for Apricot Swiss Steak
Ingredients
- 4 pounds round steak, 1/2 to 1-inch thick
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
- 1 large white onion
- 1 cup Smucker''''s Apricot Preserves
- 1 can (12 ounces) Pepsi or Coke
Cooking Directions
Cut steak into individual pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
Brown in olive oil. 2-When browned, place in 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
Cut onion into slices about 1/8-inch thick and place on top of steak.
Mix preserves and Pepsi or Coke together with wire whisk and pour over steak.
Place in the oven to bake at 325 degrees for two hours.
